The fungi in centres of withering of spruce-fir forests in Sikhote-AIin area (Far East, Russia) have been studied. The fungal infections do not play the leading role in the mass withering of spruce-fir forests, but they are the accompanying reasons and, sometimes, the predispositional factors of forest degradation.
