INTEGRATED DSS FOR CEREAL CROP PROTECTION TZ IBRAGIMOV1,SS SANIN1 1All-Russia Research Institute of Phytopathology, Moscow Area, Russia Background and objectives Computer DSS are slowly becoming the key element in the systems of control phytosanitary condition agricultural cultures on a particular field. DSS in such systems should allow to identify a condition of system "pathogen-plant-environment", to predict results of influence harmful agent on a plant, to estimate and to predict results of protective measures and in a final result to give out the recommendations for acceptance of the most optimum decisions in view of an economic and ecological situation. Results and conclusions Is developed integrated DSS of management cereal crop (wheat, rye, barley) protection from disease, have the following structure: block hypertext diagnostic system for identify of disease; models of development and harmfulness pathogen; model of efficiency of protective measures; database on means of protection; block technology of realisation of protective measures. The system makes best decision: - wheat protection against Puccinia recondita, Erysiphe graminis and Septoria spp.; - rye protection against Puccinia dispersa, P.graminis,Erysiphe graminis and Rhynchosporium secalis; - barley protection against Drechslera teres, D.graminea,Bipolaris sorokiniana, Rhynchosporium secalis, Septoria nodorum, Erysiphe graminis, Puccinia hordei and Alternaria. The decision on wheat protection against Puccinia recondita and Erysiphe graminis is based on models. The rest are based on expert assessment. During the dialog the following information is keyed into the computer: level of infection, phenological stage, weather conditions, presence or absence of factors intensifying development of the disease, variety susceptibility to diseases, expected yield, expected purchase price for grain, the fungicides price, costs of treatment and harvest. Possible yield losses in case the crop is not treated and expected economic results in case the crop is treated (yield increase by weight and in terms of money) are calculated. If the last parameter exceeds the total costs of treatments and additional yield harvest, the system recommends applying the fungicides to protect the crop in a given field. Depending on various circumstances the system gives the following "negative" answers: -"at this stage of crop development chemical protection using fungicides is economically unreasonable; go on watching the phytosanitary conditions in the field" -"with this yield level the use of fungicides for crop protection is economically inexpedient" -"at this stage of crop development the use of agrochemicals is PROHIBITED" -"under these conditions the use of fungicides is uneconomical; go on watching the phytosanitary condition in the field". Block hypertext diagnostic system has information on diseases in cereals against: description of the pathogen, parts of the host-plant where it can be found, how frequent this disease is, external symptoms of the disease and its harmfulness, methods of evaluation. Block technology of realisation of protective measures gives the possibility to calculate for a given field the amount of the fungicide, water volume, number of fillings of the sprayer tank, output, treatment costs and also attracts attention to the necessity to follow hygienic normative and safety precautions. Database on means of protection are offering information on fungicides, methods of its application,its toxicological and ecological characteristics, storage conditions, etc.
