Subjects covered include: immunology, gene regulation, molecular systematics, genetic manipulation, blood-feeding, behavior and population biology. The course is designed primarily for advanced students (MS., PhD), postdoctoral fellows and faculty. Enrollment is limited to 30 students. Financial aid may be provided based on need. Previous applicants are encouraged to reapply. For application forms and further information contact our web site
Doctor of Plant Medicine (DPM) Professional Degree Program, Department of Plant Pathology, College of Agriculture, University of Florida, USA. An Interdisciplinary Graduate Professional Degree offered by the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences in Cooperation with the Departments of Plant Pathology, Entomology and Nematology, Agronomy, and other Plant Science Departments. The Doctor of Plant Medicine (DPM) degree is similar to the Doctor of Medicine (DM) and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degrees. It trains students on plant problem diagnosis and control. It is different from the Ph.D. degree. The DPM aims to produce private practicing plant protection consultants (plant doctors). On the DPM website you will find general information on this program, why it was created, the background, career opportunities, recommended courses, requirements, deadlines, contact and more.
