New Disease Reports

Started in 2000, New Disease Reports is an international, open-access online journal of the British Society for Plant Pathology.

Objectives

The main objectives of New Disease Reports are (i) to provide a mechanism for rapid on-line reporting of outbreaks of plant pathogens on a global scale, (ii) to provide a repository for observations of the sort important to diagnosticians, field advisers, researchers and plant health policy makers; and (iii) to encourage succinct condensed reporting of disease observations.

New Disease Reports welcomes submissions on all types of plant pathogens including:

Fungi
Bacteria
Nematodes
Phytoplasmas
Viruses and viroids

Important Notice: The  Board of the British Society for  Plant Pathology, responsible for  both New Disease Reports and  Plant Pathology, has decided that papers  accepted for NDR and  published online will no longer  appear in Plant Pathology. It  was  decided that this would apply to  papers submitted after 31  December 2009 and subsequently  accepted for NDR. The Senior Editor of New Disease Reports wishes to  assure authors that the  review  process by NDR editors will  continue as normal and also that  there are plans to develop NDR  further as an online journal in order  to enhance the publication status  of its papers.
