British Society for Plant Pathology LGBTQIA+ Networking Event

We would like to invite LGBTQIA+ BSPP members to join us for a virtual discussion. The focus of this event will be on community building and getting to know each other.  This will be the first event of its kind for the British Society for Plant Pathology, and we want to hear from members what their needs are and what the society can do to further support them, as well as providing an opportunity for members to connect and network with each other.  

We recognise that not everybody is out or fully out in their working environment. We will therefore not disclose the identities or affiliations of attendees outside of this meeting. This event will not be recorded. We are running this as a safe space for everyone attending.

Although we welcome active allyship in all walks of life, this event is limited to people who self-identify as LGBTQIA+. We are looking to run future events where allies will also be invited and can build on discussions, but please respect that this event is not for you.

This event will be moderated by BSPP Vice-President Prof. Gail Preston (University of Oxford) and Basti Samwald (PhD student at the John Innes Centre).
