BSPP2018 – What Lies Within: Imaging Plant Microbe Interactions
10th December 2018 - 11th December 2018
You can view the conference booklet from this event here
President: Prof. Murray Grant
Registration is invited for the BSPP Presidential meeting to be held at Scarman House, Warwick University on the 10th – 11th December 2018.
The theme of the meeting is “imaging plant-microbe interactions”. Abstracts are invited from researchers at all levels working on imaging both pathogen and beneficial microbe interactions, from the whole plant to the nanoscale.
Researchers have accumulated a vast amount of omics data. It is now timely to understand how this relates to the mechanisms diverse pathogens use to infect and subvert, or be recognized by, host defences at the cell and sub-cellular level. The meeting aims to showcase state-of-the art imaging apporaches used to inform on a diverse range of processes from pathogen infection strategies through to inter-organellular communication during disease, defence and beneficial interactions.
Sessions will include showcasing early career researchers and emerging imaging technologies. Students are particularly encouraged to enter the P.H. Gregory poster competition.
Confirmed speakers include: Nick Talbot Sainsbury Laboratory, UK; Savithramma Dinesh-Kumar UC Davis, USA; Petra Boevink, James Hutton Institute, UK; Markus Schwarzländer, University of Münster, Germany.
