BSPP Event Organisation Fund
There are two deadlines each year for submission of applications; The 30th April and 31st October.
Decisions will be communicated within 6 weeks of the deadlines, and funding must then be used within 6 months of the award.
BSPP members can apply for limited funds to support the organisation of plant pathology related conferences, meetings and workshops. For example, funds could be used to reduce conference fees for students, to finance visiting speakers, to prepare documentation, to subsidise excursions etc.
The amount awarded is at the discretion of the board of trustees and will depend on the benefit to plant pathology, but will not exceed £4000. The board reserves the right to prioritise applicants who have not previously received BSPP funds. Applications for funding, using the form available via the link below, should be made at least 4 months ahead of the intended date of the event. Please note that awards are only made for events that have an open registration process and are accessible to BSPP members, rather than for events limited to members of a specific institution or organisation. Successful applicants should acknowledge the BSPP, and use the opportunity to inform participants about plant pathology and the benefits of membership of BSPP. Successful applicants will be sent links to logos and other resources for acknowledging BSPP.
It is a requirement that a report is submitted within four weeks of the end of the event. You can view examples of reports here.
