As an Invited Speaker the BSPP will refund a contribution towards your economy/standard class travel to attend the conference up to a maximum of £ 900 (international outside Europe) £ 350 (within Europe) or £ 250 (UK). The costs will be reimbursed after the conference on submission of with travel receipts at, or after, the meeting.

Where accommodation is provided as part of the conference package, you will not receive any reimbursement if you choose to stay in alternative accommodation. Please note that you will be charged for additional expenses not included in the room reservation fee, such as telephone calls or laundry services.

If accommodation is not part of the conference package, the BSPP will reimburse hotel costs for bed and breakfast rates to include the night before the conference and accommodation during the conference upto £ 120/night.

You are responsible for making your own travel and hotel arrangements (where accommodation is not provided as part of the conference package). You will be reimbursed for all your travel expenses up to the allocated amount stated. The travel support is intended to include airfare and local transport. The travel support does not include: car rentals, meals, snacks, newspapers, additional hotel nights over and above what you have been offered, phone calls, movies, in-room mini bar, laundry/dry cleaning, room service at the hotel, and similar miscellaneous items. If your expenses exceed the travel support amount stated, you will receive only the maximum amount.

Please note that reimbursement is subject to you attending and presenting at the conference. The BSPP requires any reimbursed speakers to attend the poster session and conference dinner.

Fears that a new pest, the crop-killing fall armyworm, would arrive in NZ have been realised. An egg mass of the moth was found in Tauranga in March. The pest has been recorded in Waikato, Taranaki, South Auckland and Gisborne since then. Read more at: http://ow.ly/rGM350JhtUR
