Incoming Fellowships
BSPP members who are already post-doctoral may apply for Incoming Fellowships to support a visiting researcher to work with them for one to three months duration.
Fellowships are intended to stimulate and facilitate studies or training to the benefit of plant pathology.
Any applicant must be at least post-doctoral and have been a member of BSPP for at least two years and no member may be awarded an Incoming Fellowship more than once in any period of two years. The visiting researcher must also become a member of BSPP.
Incoming Fellowships are intended to support (a) travel, accommodation and other personal costs directly related to the visit and (b) a contribution to consumables and other essential research costs directly related to the applicant’s proposed research in the host laboratory.
The maximum value of an award is generally £5000 although members are encouraged to be economical.
Applications can not be submitted for both the travel fund and for a fellowship in the same year.
