New information on the invasion of eastern Ukraine from Russia by the emerald ash borer. So far it is mainly planted American ash species that are being killed, but some European ash trees are also affected. https://www.mdpi.com/1999-4907/13/5/789/htm

Fears that a new pest, the crop-killing fall armyworm, would arrive in NZ have been realised. An egg mass of the moth was found in Tauranga in March. The pest has been recorded in Waikato, Taranaki, South Auckland and Gisborne since then. Read more at: http://ow.ly/rGM350JhtUR
