Salary: £32,578 – £39,938 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

Communications and Engagement Department, to support the cutting-edge science
of the John Innes Centre.

The role:
Our digital presence is one of the most important vehicles for communicating about
the John Innes Centre and our work to the outside world. The main purpose of this
role is to deliver a programme of engaging digital content to effectively support the
needs of the John Innes Centre and our internal and external audiences.
The role is responsible for using a range of digital channels including websites, social
media, newsletters, and internal platforms to promote key organisational messages
which reflect the John Innes Centre’s work, brand, key messages and priorities to our
target audiences in line with the John Innes Centre’s Engagement Strategy.
The post holder will source and develop digital content that inspires and engages key
audiences including the funders of our research and industry collaborators and is
marketed effectively to attract new audiences to learn about our research.
The post holder will work closely with internal and external partners to produce and
source digital content which is engaging and optimised for accessibility and search
engines.
The ideal candidate:
You will have a degree, preferably in a life sciences subject.
You will have a proven track record of creative digital content production, website
management, and user experience design as well as experience in the use of
graphic design software, in particular Adobe CC – Photoshop and Illustrator. You will
have the ability to process complex information and present targeted messages to
different audiences.
