Molecular Plant Pathology Transitioning to Open Access in 2019

16th September 2018

As a member of the BSPP, we are pleased to announce that Molecular Plant Pathology is converting from a subscription journal to an open access journal in 2019. The switch to open access is an exciting development for the journal that will mean authors receive the best publishing service and the widest possible dissemination of their work. The switch to open access will make it easier than ever for authors to comply with open access mandates, meeting the requirements of funding organizations and institutions where these apply. The Editorial focus and policy of the journal will not change and the editorial team will continue to apply the same rigorous standards of peer review and acceptance criteria. As part of this change, all submissions to Molecular Plant Pathology after 25th September 2018 will be subject to an Article Processing Charge (APC). BSPP members will be granted a 20% discount on article charges. Author Benefits:

From 2019, Molecular Plant Pathology will be open access and all articles will be freely available to download and share. Publish in the journal and benefit from:

  • Rapid publication
  • Open access: freely available on Wiley Online Library
  • Authors retain copyright and articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution License
  • Fully compliant with open access mandates – meeting the requirements of funding organizations and institutions where these apply
  • High standard, rigorous peer review
  • Quality and reputation: supported by BSPP and Wiley
  • Learn if your funder or institution has a Wiley Open Access Account and will pay your open access APCs
  • Determine if you can qualify for Wiley’s waivers and discounts, offered to authors based in developing countries
